Position Summary: Dental Front Desk (Scheduling/Treatment Coordinator) - Case presentation- review and explain treatment to patient, collect a deposit and get patient on the schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients
  • Ensure doctor and hygiene schedule is full
  • Maintain communication with patients via online platform, text and/or email.
  • Download specialist reports/x-rays; send x-rays to specialists
  • Answer incoming calls using polished, professional telephone skills
  • Handle patient reception
  • Manage/File Patient Charts/Records
  • Process beginning and end of day forms
  • Call patients on recall list (25+ per day)
  • Ensure that schedule is accurate; allowing ample time for each procedure
  • Collect and post patient payments as needed
  • Educate, discuss and present the dentist's recommended treatment plan to the patient after the dentist has provided a diagnosis
  • Educate patients about veneers, implants, crowns, bridges, Perio and any other treatment that was diagnosed by the dentist
  • Verify and then discuss dental benefits and pre-estimates; present fees to patients
  • Enter accurate patient benefit information into Eaglesoft system
  • Manage daily schedule to ensure production goals are consistently being met
  • Document financial arrangements/commitments to pay
  • Collect payment and post to appropriate patient ledger
  • Offer Care Credit and assist patient with completing application in office
  • Post/Enter pre-treatment estimates into system
  • Call patients to schedule treatment as applicable to their treatment plan
  • Track and call patients who do not schedule or whose treatment is incomplete
  • Follow-up: Call and/or send letters to patients that have missed their scheduled appointment within their treatment plan
  • Document services rendered and other related information in patient's charts following each appointment
  • Document future dental treatments/recommendations as dictated by the dentist
  • Provide support to office personnel when primary responsibilities are complete
